Club Launches Disability Team

Onchan AFC has launched its first disability team, which will help under 16s get into the game.

The team is for people age between 11 and 15 years of age with a learning disability or neurodivergence.

The first training session is on Monday July 21 at 5:30pm at the club’s Blackberry Lane pitch.

Training will take place weekly and the sessions will be led by two coaches with a background in both football and supporting people with additional needs.

The first few sessions will be free of charge, allowing players and their families to assess whether or not it is for them.

The Isle of Man FA has said it is hopeful that this will be the first of a number of regional disability sides on the island.
