Garff Commissioners is reminding dog owners of the restrictions that are in place on Laxey beach.
At this time of year access for dogs onto Laxey Beach is restricted from The Shed in the south to the Harbour in the north.
This restriction is between the hours of 10am and 6pm from April 1 to September 31.
Dog Restrictions
The local authority has issued the reminder following a report of an incident over the weekend in which a dog on the beach defecated on a bag left by someone swimming.
Garff Commissioners sad: “To be fair, the owner apparently did his best to do the right thing once in the situation; he searched for the swimmer, apologised, and resolved the situation as best he could.”
