Tyler Hannay says winning double gold at the Island Games with his friends was “the cherry on the cake”.
Hannay won the individual gold and team gold with Niall Quiggin, Callum Salisbury, Ivan Sorby and Mark Horsthuis.
Reflecting on his solo victory, he said: “Happy to win the Individual Time Trial at the Orkney Island Games, I was happy with my ride and the effort I put in so to be rewarded with the Gold Medal means a lot.”
He added: “To win the Team Gold Medal alongside some close friends puts the cherry on the cake, we all suffered out there and left it all on the Tarmac and the feeling of winning together is euphoric.”
Hannay also praised Robert Sorby, sponsors and everyone who has reached out with messages of support.
He added: “The Ramsey Tram keeps on rolllinggggg!!”
