The DoI has not bought or brought additional buses or coaches to the island in the last three years specifically to meet cruise ship requirements.
Dr Michelle Haywood gave the answer responding to a written Tynwald question from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse.
The issue is also one which is regularly issue on social media, particular during periods when bus services haven’t been delivered.
Dr Haywood said: “No additional buses are, or have been, brought over to the island for this specific purpose. As such, no costs have been incurred by the department or Bus Vannin.”
