An MHK in the north of the island would like an update as to what is actually happening with Cummal Mooar.
The residential home in Ramsey looked like it would close before a new home opened as its replacement.
However, after significant backlash those plans were scrapped, albeit with little by way of a timeframe.
Update Wanted
Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper has submitted three written questions to the Minister for Health and Social Care, Claire Christian MHK.
Mr Hooper wants to know what length of time the current Cummal Mooar facility is expected to continue to operate, and what work is required to keep it operational for this period and what the expected cost of this is.
He also wants to know what the estimated additional cost is of continuing to operate it for this period; and what impact the delays to the redevelopment timetable have had on Manx Care’s financial forecast for the next two years.
Where is the Information?
He also wants to know why no updates have been provided in respect of further delays and potential changes to the proposed redevelopment of Cummal Mooar.
As well as, why no timetable is available for when proposals will be brought to Tynwald for the Cummal Mooar replacement scheme.
The Minister for Health and Social Care has until October 16 to respond.
