Last night’s Railway Cup semi final raised £580 for Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation.
Played in awful conditions, over 300 people braved the weather as Corinthians beat Onchan 4-1 to book their place in the final.
With spectators paying £2 on the gate, it was agreed the money would be donated to the lifesaving charity.
Chairman Paul Healey said: “Huge thanks to Onchan Afc for insisting that last nights gate receipts were donated to Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation.
“£580 was raised on the night. Thank you to both teams for also allowing this game to go ahead midweek at the bowl.
“We believe the decision has proven this could really work well in the future.”
