Across the men’s, ladies’ and junior fixtures, teams were pushed to their limits, standout performances shone through, and several matches produced storylines that will be talked about for weeks.

Bacchas Show Their Firepower
Bacchas C produced the headline result of the weekend with a commanding 15–0 victory over Ramsey B. With Ramsey forced to play the entire match with just nine players, Bacchas took full advantage, racing to a 7–0 lead by half‑time and continuing the pressure throughout.
Dan Stevenson led the scoring with five, Christian Davis added four, and Dylan Honeyman — who covered every blade of turf through midfield — earned Player of the Match. Despite the scoreline, Ramsey’s goalkeeper Mark Arden delivered a heroic performance, pulling off a string of saves to keep the score from climbing even higher.
In the Ladies Plate, Bacchas C also made a bright start, taking the lead through Gracie Evans, but Vikings B surged back in the second half to win 5–1. Bacchas goalkeeper Chloe Cowell was outstanding despite the pressure, earning Player of the Match for a brave and busy performance.
Valkyrs Fight Hard Across the Divisions
Valkyrs B pushed Ramsey A all the way in the Men’s Plate, but ultimately fell 3–2. Goals from Ollie Webster and Russell Millerkept them in the contest, with Miller’s midfield control earning him Player of the Match.
The Ladies A side delivered one of the weekend’s most dramatic games in the Ladies Cup. After trailing 0–1 at half‑time to Bacchas A, Valkyrs stormed back to lead 2–1, only for Bacchas to equalise with a final‑whistle short corner. The match went to flicks, where Valkyrs held their nerve to win 3–2. Goalkeeper Ellie Burns was exceptional throughout and decisive in the shootout.
Ramsey Battle Hard Across the Board
Ramsey B Ladies claimed a strong 3–0 win over Castletown D in Division Two, with Hannah Wylde scoring twice and Isla Rousseau adding the third. At the back, Jenny Lantry impressed with calm distribution and solid defensive work.
Meanwhile, Ramsey’s men endured a tough day against Bacchas C but showed real resilience, especially given their reduced numbers. Their Men’s Plate side, however, secured a valuable win over Valkyrs B, showing their depth across the squads.
Vikings Dig Deep in Cup Action
Vikings A were pushed to the brink in the Men’s Cup by a determined Harlequins side. Trailing 1–0 at half‑time, Vikings had to fight hard to level the match late on. The game went to flicks, where Vikings prevailed 4–2, thanks in large part to goalkeeper Harry Woods, who made two crucial saves and kept Vikings in the contest throughout.
Vikings B Ladies also enjoyed success, overturning an early deficit to beat Bacchas C 5–1 in the Ladies Plate.
Castletown Shine in Junior Hockey
The Under‑15s match between Castletown and Vikings was a fast, flowing contest with chances at both ends. Castletown led 2–0 at half‑time and eventually secured a 5–3 win, making the most of their opportunities while their goalkeeper was kept busy by a lively Vikings attack.
Goals came from Oscar Garczynski, Barnaby Phythian, Scarlett Crompton‑Heavey, and a brace from Charlie Valerga.
