The long-awaited revised Highway Code is in its final stages, but a publication date has yet to be confirmed.
Responding to a question in Keys from Dr Michelle Haywood, Tim Crookall said the document had been signed off but further reviews identified minor issues.
“When the honourable member left the department, we thought it was finished, then we went through it. Just as new members of the department, we found one or two mistakes,” Mr Crookall said.
He added the code is “very close” and anticipated it would be published “certainly by the end of this administration”.
Sadly Mr Crookall said he won’t be publicising the new Highway Code on TikTok, a routine we all would’ve enjoyed.
