A key section of the TT Course will face daytime closures at the end of the month as preparation work begins ahead of this year’s TT races.
The stretch between Ballig and Cronk y Voddy will be closed each day from Monday, April 27 to Friday, May 1, with restrictions in place between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed that the closures are necessary to carry out pre‑TT preparation works.
While the road will be shut to through traffic, access for residents will be maintained throughout.
Access Arrangements
Residents living south of Glen Helen will be able to reach their properties from the Ballig side, while those north of Glen Helen will access their homes from the Cronk y Voddy end.
Officials emphasised that no through access will be available during the closure periods.
Public access to Glen Helen and the newly opened Farm Shop & Café will be maintained at all times. Visitors will need to approach from the Cronk y Voddy side of the closure.
The works are expected to be completed by the end of the week, weather permitting.
