A much-loved member of staff at Victoria Road Primary School is celebrating half a century of dedicated service.
Carol Stevens first joined the Castletown school in 1975, working as both an Educational Support Officer and Lunchtime Ancillary, often carrying out both roles at the same time.
Executive Headteacher Natalie Johnstone paid tribute to a “truly remarkable achievement”.
“Carol’s 50 years of service to Victoria Road Primary School is a truly remarkable achievement,” said Mrs Johnstone. “Her care, commitment and unwavering dedication has touched the lives of countless children and families over the years.
“She has been a constant source of support and kindness within our school community, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate this very special milestone with her.”

Colleagues past and present have spoken of Carol’s unwavering support and the positive relationships she has built across the school and wider Castletown community. Many former pupils and families continue to remember her fondly.
Despite her half‑century of service, Carol continues to work tirelessly at the school and shows no sign of retiring.
The school community will come together to mark the occasion and thank Carol for her outstanding service.
