The chair of Onchan Commissioners has hailed a year of “steady progress, investment, and a renewed focus on long term planning”.
Anthony Allen listed key achievements include enabling ratepayers to ask questions during public meetings, improving Board minutes, and introducing wider governance reforms.
Reflecting on his year as Chairman, Mr Allen said: “The achievements of the past 12 months have established strong foundations for continued progress, strengthened governance, and long term strategic resilience.”
He added: “Despite ongoing economic uncertainty and the potential implications of future national policy changes, the Board remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting public finances, improving services, investing responsibly, and maintaining the highest standards of governance, transparency, and civic leadership.”
Mr Allen also praised public events including Party in the Park, Remembrance commemorations, Christmas festivities, and the inaugural Fire Island Chilli and BBQ Festival.
