Glen Quayle has set a new Isle of Man senior pole vault record after clearing 4.93m at the Long Beach Opener in California.
Quayle sent the record just two days after moving into the senior ranks.
His performance surpasses the long standing 3.70m mark set by Alf Oddie in 1988.
Quayle is currently based in Los Angeles, where he is working under a post‑graduate visa until September 2026.
He has stepped back from regular vault training to focus on his career but returned to competition for the early season meet.
