Tickets are now on sale for the 2026 Cherry Godfrey Cup, with just a month to go until the women’s football tournament kicks off at Victoria Park in Guernsey.
The competition returns after a hugely successful debut in Jersey in 2024, bringing together women’s representative teams from Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man, and the Isle of Wight for two days of football, island rivalry and celebration.
Created to champion women’s sport, the biennial event has quickly become a standout fixture in the islands’ sporting calendar.
Cherry Godfrey CEO David Cherry said the excitement is building: “The response to the inaugural Cherry Godfrey Cup in 2024 was incredible and we’re so excited to now be just 30 days away from bringing the tournament to Guernsey.
“The standard of football, the atmosphere in the stands and the support from the islands was amazing last time around and we know this year is going to be even bigger. We’d encourage everyone to come along, support their island and be part of a fantastic weekend celebrating women’s football.”
Proud Moment
Guernsey FA Chief Executive Gary Roberts added that hosting the tournament is a proud moment for the island and a chance to showcase women’s football under the lights at Victoria Park.
The Isle of Man lifted the inaugural trophy after a dramatic penalty shootout in 2024, and all four islands now prepare to meet again in pursuit of the Cup. This year’s schedule features two Friday semi‑finals, followed by Saturday’s third‑place playoff, grand final, and trophy presentation.
Organisers are urging supporters, families and businesses to secure tickets early to help create a packed‑out Victoria Park for a memorable weekend of women’s sport from June 26 to 27.
