Castle Mona Restoration Enters Next Phase

Tevir Developments has submitted a fresh set of planning and registered building applications as work continues to stabilise and restore Castle Mona in Douglas.

The latest proposals cover essential repairs to the central roof and the removal of later additions that are not part of the building’s original fabric.

Tevir says the works are aimed at protecting the Registered Building and preserving features of architectural and historic significance.

The company has been working with the government’s Registered Buildings Officer throughout the project and says that collaboration will continue as further repairs progress.

Tevir added that options for the future use of the landmark site are still being explored, with an update to be provided once that process is complete.
