Katryna Baptist has formally declared her intention to stand for Glenfaba and Peel in this year’s General Election.
In a short campaign video, Baptist said it would be “a privilege to represent the people of the West as your MHK,” pledging to push for “the change and reform that our communities deserve, both locally and nationally.”
She said government must “better reflect the people that it serves,” adding that accountability should apply to “all public bodies… and that includes me.”
Baptist stressed that her manifesto will be shaped by residents, saying listening to voters is “the most important place to start.” She plans to hold surgeries, knock on doors and meet people across Glenfaba and Peel in the coming weeks.
She encouraged residents to follow her campaign online and said she looks forward to meeting “as many of you as I can.”
