The Children’s Centre’s annual rounders tournament proved a major success raising around £9,000 for the charity despite a late date change and relocation to Union Mills Football Club.
Twenty‑eight teams took part on July 16, with the final pitching event sponsors PwC Isle of Man against Hit Happens in a tight, competitive match. Hit Happens claimed the 2026 title, edging ahead by just five rounders.
Leah Mousley from The Children’s Centre said the turnout and atmosphere made the event “one to remember”, praising teams, volunteers, referees and Union Mills FC for their support.
She said the funds raised will help the charity continue providing outcome‑focused care for young people and families facing adversity.
PwC Isle of Man’s Territory Senior Partner, Nick Halsall, said the firm was proud to back an event that brings the community together while supporting vital work with children and families. He congratulated Hit Happens on their win and thanked everyone involved.
