A firefighter has raised more than £1,800 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service after completing a full lap of the TT Course on foot while wearing full fire kit.
Daniel Maddocks finished the challenge this week, with Ramsey Fire Station praising his effort and confirming he had “absolutely smashed” both the walk and his fundraising target.
The walk covers more than 37 miles around the Mountain Course, and completing it in full kit is considered one of the most demanding charity challenges attempted by Island emergency‑service personnel.
The money raised will directly benefit the Great North Air Ambulance Service, which provides critical care across the region.
