The Irish Coastguard was called in to help out with an urgent patient transfer from the isalnd.
The transfer was organised by Douglas Coastguard, for a patient who needed critical treatment in the UK earlier today (October 25).
With the huge demand on emergency services in the UK associated with Storm Boelo, the Irish Coastguard was called in to assist and a helicopter from Dublin was sent to Noble’s Hospital.
An Isle of Man Coastguard spokesperson said: “We’d like to thank everyone who worked so hard to ensure the mission took place and the patient was able to be flown out to the UK.”
