The Minister for Health and Social Care says an independent review of adult learning disabilities residential services, will be published by mid-June.
The report was commissioned by Manx Care to evaluate the service, with Cordis Bright, a specialist health and social care consultancy, conducting the review.
In response to a question from Speaker Juan Watterson, Claire Christian stated: “Manx Care are in the process of arranging a briefing for families and stakeholders about the report.
“This first step is important as we continue to place the service user, and their families, at the centre of all the work that we do.”
Delays
Ms Christian acknowledged potential delays, saying: “Due to the constant flow of work, the timings could change, however these steps are in progress and are a priority for both DHSC and Manx Care.”
The report aims to provide transparency and improve care standards.
