Castletown and Malew Fire Station has bid farewell to its longest serving firefighter.
Alan Clayton has retired after 28 years, joining the service in 1996.
Chief Fire Officer Mark Christian presented Alan with an illuminated address on behalf of the government in recognition of his long and faithful service.
It was also an opportunity to thank Alan’s family for supporting him throughout his Fire Service career.
The service said: “Alan will be very much missed by all of his colleagues, and we wish him a very happy & healthy retirement!”
