All Black Great Named KWC’s First Rugby Ambassador

Former All Black Mark Robinson has been appointed as King William’s College’s first Rugby Ambassador.

Robinson, a former halfback with 15 years’ professional experience in New Zealand and Europe, will join the College in September.

He will work with pupils and coaches to develop both performance and core values such as discipline, resilience and teamwork.

Now living on the Isle of Man, Mark said: “I am delighted to be joining King William’s College as its first Rugby Ambassador. Rugby has shaped my life in countless ways, and I am passionate about helping young people experience everything the game has to offer.

“Success in rugby is built on far more than talent alone—it requires character, commitment and a willingness to work for others. I look forward to working with the pupils and coaches to develop not only successful teams but confident, resilient young people.”

Principal Damian Henderson said Robinson’s arrival was “an important milestone”, adding that his international experience would inspire young players as the College aims to become the island’s leading school for rugby.
