Another fall in inflation has been recorded on the Isle of Man.
Inflation as measured by Consumer price index stands at 3.5% for February 2024.
‘Alcoholic beverages and tobacco’ exhibits the biggest increase, having risen 11.1% compared with 12 months ago. ‘Tobacco’ has seen the biggest increase in this category (15.5%).
The second biggest increase is ‘Restaurants and hotels’, having risen 9.7% compared with 12 months ago. ‘Wines & spirits on sales’ (wines and spirits sold on licensed premises), has seen the biggest increase in this category (20.7%).
The third biggest contributor to the rate of inflation was ‘Recreation and culture’, which shows a rise of 9.7%.
