The Steam Packet says tidal conditions in Heysham has led to it pushing back a sailing.
Wednesday morning’s sailing from Heysham to Douglas will now depart the Lancashire port at 3am.
The sailing had been due to leave Heysham at 1:45am.
Passengers are now asked to check in by 2:15am.
It is likely to be a fairly busy crossing as FC Isle of Man fans head to their game at Bury on Tuesday night.
