Eleven-year-old Breesha Byers was placed the highest under 21 rider at the Pet Plan Area Dressage Festival.
The youngster from Maughold was riding her two horses Jazz and Carlos at last weekend’s festival which was held at Aintree, Liverpool.
She was placed 9th in novice class with Jazz and 11th with Carlos in the prelim class; as a result she was placed the highest under 21 rider.
Breesha’s scores have gained her qualification for the Area Festival Championships at Addington, Buckinghamshire in April.
She also qualified for the Pony Club Intermediate Dressage for the Spring Festival at Addington in March.
Only the top two qualify for the Spring Festival Championships in each class.
The Byers family would like to thank Breesha’s coach James Mister, and Jodie at Ballavartyn for allowing them to use the indoor arena for training.
