An Onchan MHK is calling for all government‑commissioned reports on the Isle of Man Meat Plant produced since October 2022 to be published.
Julie Edge MHK has asked the Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister to release the reports that may exist.
In a written question for due for answer by March 19, Ms Edge asks Minister Clare Barber MHK to confirm whether all such reports will be made public.
Her request covers any reviews, consultancy work, operational assessments or strategic reports commissioned by the Government in the period following the Birnie Report in 2022, which examined the plant’s performance and future viability.
The Meat Plant has remained a recurring point of political scrutiny, with questions raised over transparency, financial sustainability and the implementation of recommendations made in 2022.
Publishing the full suite of subsequent reports would provide a clearer picture of how the facility has been managed and what progress has been made.
