A new self‑service health station has been installed at the Northern Swimming Pool in Ramsey.
It offers free five‑minute checks on key health indicators including blood pressure, weight, heart rate and cardiovascular risk.
Public Health says the SISU Health Station is open to anyone aged 16 and over and is designed to spot potential issues earlier, particularly for people who may not regularly attend GP appointments.
The machine also includes short surveys on alcohol intake and stress, and can link to a health app so users can track their results over time. It will signpost people to local support services if readings suggest possible concerns.

The station will remain in Ramsey for 12 months, supported by Ramsey Group Practice and the Northern Health and Care Community.
Public Health will also use anonymised data to better understand local health trends and plan services.
Dr Matt Tyrer, Director of Public Health, said the service offers a simple way for people to take control of their health and could help reduce pressure on wider services by identifying risks sooner. If the pilot is successful, more stations could be introduced elsewhere on the Island.

“The simple and quick self-service checks will encourage people to take an active role in their own health and wellbeing and the health station supports our wider objective of helping people to stay well for longer by identifying risks earlier.”
