Arbory Road to Close For Repairs

Arbory Road in Castletown will be closed to through traffic tomorrow while carriageway repair work is carried out.

The works will be carried out between the junctions with Farrants Park and the Castletown Bypass.

A team from Kiely Bros Ltd is due on site from around 8am, with the road closing shortly after at about 8.30am.

Road Works

The work involves a series of paver patches to prepare the route for surface dressing later in the summer.

Access for residents will be maintained, though delays are expected.

Depending on where crews are working at any given time, motorists may be directed to enter or exit from one end of the closure.

The Department of Infrastructure now expects all repairs to be completed on Sunday, rather than over two days as previously planned.

If any work remains outstanding, it will be finished on a weekday at times that avoid disruption to arrivals and departures at Castle Rushen High School.
