Manx runner Sarah Astin has been named in the GB and NI team for the European Road Running Championships.
UK Athletics has selected 10 athletes to represent GB & NI in the 10k competition in Belgium on April 12 and 13.
The Manx 10KM record holder beat her own best time in Valencia in January to set a new record of 32 minutes 20 seconds.
She said: “20+ years in this sport, countless miles, and a lot of patience later… I’ve FINALLY made a GB team! Excited to be lining up for the 10k at the European Road Champs, it’s been a journey and one I’m pretty proud and grateful of!”
Isle of Man Athletics added its own support, saying “congratulations & enjoy”.
