Five young athletes have been selected to represent Lancashire at the Inter-Counties Cross-Country Championships.
The championships will take place next month at Wollaton Park in Nottingham.
The selected runners are Lucas Stennett (Junior Men), Sienna Morrissey (U17 Women), Eve Martin (U13 Girls), Rory Teare (U13 Boys), and Leighton Curphey (U13 Boys).
Inter-Counties
Lucas, who competes for Northern AC, will be making his fifth consecutive appearance at the event, having represented Lancashire across three different age groups.
Eve Martin, of Manx Harriers, made her debut at the championships last year as a first-year U13 athlete.
Meanwhile, Sienna Morrissey, Rory Teare, and Leighton Curphey, also of Manx Harriers, will be making their first appearances at the event and wearing the Lancashire vest for the first time, marking an important milestone in their young athletics careers.
The athletes earned their selections following strong performances at the Lancashire Championships in December.
