Audiology drop-in clinics will be indefinitely suspended until further notice from Monday.
Manx Care said the decision has been taken to help manage demand more safely and ensure patients can access services in a planned and effective way. I
It said that in recent weeks, demand has exceeded capacity with clinics becoming full quickly and patients being turned away.
From June 29, patients attending without an appointment will be asked to contact the service to arrange the next available slot and will not be seen.
Patients are now required to call 650407, select option 2 and leave their name, date of birth and a brief description of what they require. Alternatively, if unable to use the phone, they can email their request to audiology.nobles@gov.im.
