Public toilets in Douglas have been targeted by vandals, with a baby changing unit severely damaged over the weekend.
Cleaners attending the facilities opposite the Jubilee Clock on Saturday morning discovered the unit had been forcibly broken.
The unit has been snapped at its hinges, rendering it unusable.
The act of vandalism has taken the essential facility out of service indefinitely as it will require new parts before it can be used again, also representing an unnecessary financial burden.
The Council said: “If you’re aware of those responsible and want to help stop such incidences, please contact the City Wardens on 696300 and hopefully working with the Community Policing team we can deal with those responsible.”
