The weather for this bank holiday weekend has changed numerous times that I’m debating just winging it and guessing for all of us, hence ‘cloudy with a spice of drizzle’.
It’s gone from 17C and sun to 11mm of rain and now cloudy with the chance of showers. This is a new low, feeling d**k teased by the Met Office.
Let’s get into it. Today (May 4) is forecast to be cloudy with outbreaks of rain or drizzle, a light southwest wind, and temperatures up to 12°C.
One good point is that it shan’t be windy – hurrah! Generally SW 5-10, veering W overnight.
Bad news? 1-4mm of rain, which you know could be worse.
More cloud for the Bank Holiday
The positive vibes are building – think Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither was the non-existent Manx Spring that’ll just become Summer.
The Ronaldsway Met Office says it’ll be cloudy tomorrow (May 5) with rain at times (hopefully none at all) during the morning, then gradually clearing in the afternoon, with light westerly winds and temperatures up to 14°C – tropical.
Now that sounds a bit ‘meh’ if you ask me. I opted to look at XC weather for the pretty picture version of the weather – I saw little sun emojis hiding behind clouds – made me perk up a bit.
The wind is a big fat VIBE. All blue (if you don’t have an obsession with wind speeds, then I appreciate you won’t get as excited as me). Max wind (according to XC) is 5mph – lovely, bloody lovely.
Outlook
Monday is, for some of you, a bank holiday; for the rest of us, another day in paradise(?).
For those of you lapping it up on your day off, you’ll be able to enjoy it in some average weather.
It’ll be mostly dry and cloudy, with some hazy sunshine possibly breaking through at times.
Tuesday (May 7) is looking very similar; mostly cloudy but dry, with some hazy sunshine possibly breaking through at times.
To be honest, although it’ll be a bit grey and the odd shower will be kicking about, I’m just buzzing; it isn’t forecast to lash it down, and there’s no 50mph gale warning in place.
