Bishop Patricia Hillas has thanked people for their support after the sad death of her husband.
In a statement released by the Diocese of Sodor and Man, she sent her heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been offering love and support since announcing he was ill.
Statement
The Diocese said “With immense sadness, Andrew passed away on Tuesday evening.
“He was at home just as he wished, and where, as he put it ‘it is peaceful, calm and I am surrounded by love’. Your good wishes, prayers, cards and messages helped to ensure this.
“Andrew’s funeral will take place on Tuesday June 24 at 11am. It will be held at the Cathedral Isle of Man in Peel
“Bishop Tricia and all the family would welcome all who wish to honour his memory, say goodbye and send him on his way, ‘further up and further in’.
“If you plan to attend in person please could you rsvp as soon as is convenient to secretary@sodorandman.im and ideally by the end of 18 June so we might know numbers for catering and printing.
“Please continue to hold Bishop Tricia, Clare and all the family in your thoughts and prayers.”
