Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation has installed a new defibrillator in a shelter on Douglas’ Queen’s Promenade.
The shelter, regularly used by Manx Bluetits, will provide a public access point to the life saving equipment.
Chairman of the charity Paul Healey thanked the swimmers and Manx Utilities “for being guardians of the unit”.
He added; “Members of the Manx Bluetits will also be raising money for Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation to help fund this unit. Special thanks to Tim Cross, Peter Quirk and Lynn Merriman.”
