MHKs will today question ministers on issues ranging from Treasury spending and renewable energy policy to hospital safety, road policing and first‑time buyer support.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse will open the sitting by asking Treasury how much of the government’s £400 million bond was allocated to Manx Utilities and what interest rate the authority is paying.
He will also seek clarity on whether windfarm operators will be entitled to curtailment payments, how such payments would be funded, and what impact they could have on household bills.

Mr Moorhouse will ask the Minister for Justice and Home Affairs for three‑year data on drink and drug driving prosecutions, including conviction rates and the number of repeat offenders.
Onchan MHK Julie Edge will ask the Health and Social Care Minister to respond to allegations posted on social media about unexpected deaths, patient safety and staffing at Noble’s Hospital.
Rushen MHK Dr Michelle Haywood will question preparations for the statutory independent inspection of Manx Care services due to begin in 2027.
Ms Edge will also ask about safeguarding policies for admitting adult patients to children’s treatment areas, while later seeking clarity on how frailty is defined and assessed in healthcare settings and what policy governs the use of do‑not‑resuscitate orders.
DoI Matters
Dr Haywood will ask when the results of the consultation on penalties for causing death by dangerous driving will be published and when legislation will follow.
Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper will press Infrastructure on when the decision was taken to cease or not renew the contract with the Post Office for vehicle and driving licence services.
Mr Moorhouse will ask what plans are in place to improve first‑time buyer support before the General Election, and will also seek accident figures for the road between Ballasalla and St Mark’s over the past three years, along with any changes made as a result.
