Bram Brought 74mph Winds to Island

The Ronaldsway Met Office recorded a highest wind speed of 74mph yesterday during Storm Bram.

This wind speed, which is the equivalent of 64 knots, was recorded between 4pm and 5pm yesterday (December 9).

The Met Office confirmed that the recorded gust of 74mph is the fourth highest gust since January 2016.

Weather Statistics

It is the second highest this year behind Storm Eowyn, which recorded 80mph gusts.

The highest hourly mean speed recorded was 53mph between 3pm and 5pm.
