Beach Buddies will beholding its annual clean-up at the Royal Agricultural Show grounds this Sunday.
The environmental group has been clearing post-show rubbish for years and notes a significant reduction in waste.
Founder Bill Dale said: “When we first started cleaning up after the two agricultural shows, it was a pretty big job, shifting large amounts of rubbish.
“But this last few years has seen a very noticeable difference.”
He added, “Two weeks ago, we did exactly the same for the Southern Agricultural Show, and we were really pleased to see that there was a noticeable and very positive difference in the amount of rubbish collected.
“There is nowhere near the amount of rubbish to be collected at the shows, or at any of the numerous other events we support each year. That’s all down to YOU – the people of the Isle of Man.”
Volunteers are encouraged to meet at Knockaloe at 10.30am.
