Next year’s Manx Heritage Transport Festival will mark two big anniversaries for the island’s transport system.
The festival will be held between Tuesday July 28 and Sunday August 2 2026.
Not only will it make 50 years since the nationalisation of buses, it will also mark the 150th anniversary of the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway.
Other plans for next year include photography specials, guided track tours, workshop and depot tours, motorman taster sessions and special timetables and combinations alongside heritage fleets out in action.
Full event details will be available in spring 2026.
