Glen Wyllin Campsite has issued a temporary ban on fires and BBQs due to the island’s spell of hot, dry weather.
The site says the grass has become “very dry and flammable”, and the restriction is in place to reduce the risk of accidental fires.
Staff say the measure is precautionary and will remain until conditions improve.
The campsite thanked visitors for their understanding and said updates will follow when it is safe to lift the ban.
