Isle of Man and Northern AC sprinter Carla Teece opened her 2026 racing programme with a fine performance in Manchester.
Competing in the final round of the Sale Harriers Winter Indoor series yesterday (March 15), the Liverpool University student ran her 60 metres heat in a time of 7.86 seconds, finishing second, just three-hundredths of a second outside her personal best.
She ran again in Round 2 a little later, clocking a fractionally slower time.
This was Carla’s first competition back after illness, so a very encouraging result on the lead into the outdoor season which begins shortly.
