Passenger Cabins Removed on Ben

MV Ben My Chree

Passenger cabins will no longer be available on the Ben‑my‑Chree after the Steam Packet converted the accommodation for crew.

An email shared with Manx.News confirmed that all passenger cabins have now been reassigned for crew accommodation.

The email said the change was necessary “to ensure the ship can be a full live‑on ship”.

The move means travellers on the Douglas to Ireland route will no longer have access to private cabins on the long‑serving vessel.

Day Time Sailings

The Steam Packet noted that sailings to Ireland are scheduled during daytime hours, reducing overall demand for cabins, though acknowledged this “isn’t the case for everyone”.

From July onwards the Ben-my-Chree will be covering all sailings to and from Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Passengers travelling on upcoming sailings are advised to plan accordingly, as no cabin accommodation will be available for the foreseeable future.

Manx.News has approached the Steam Packet for comment.
