Check your gas hob

A programme to repair and correct issues with gas hobs is underway.

A safety concern has been identified which could give rise to serious risk of poisoning, burns, gas explosions and/or fire.

The Office of Fair Trading has issued advice for hobs manufactured since May 2019 from the following providers:

Belling/Stoves gas hobs
Caple Has Hobs, Cata
Culina Gas Hobs
Coffee Gas Hobs
Cooke and Lewis Gas Hobs
Cookology Gas Hobs
Electric Gas Hobs
Kitchenplus Gas Hobs
Russell Hobs Gas Hobs
Samsung Gas Hobs
Statesman Gas Hobs
Swan Gas Hobs

Details of a corrective action programme and a full list of the makes and models affected can be found on the UK Government website along with Freephone contact numbers.

All gas hob owners are advised to check the model links, and owners in caravans, leisure homes, and motorhomes should do so urgently. If using an affected appliance with Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), it’s recommended to disconnect it from the LPG cylinder immediately.
