The Infrastructure Minister has said she will delete or hide any “abusive comments” made on her own social media platforms.
In her warning to people on social media, Dr Michelle Haywood MHK explained that she is happy to discuss any matter in a “calm and respectful way”.
She suggested that people should “try constructing a well argued opinion instead” as she will “happily debate topics, explain decisions or go away and find information”.
However, she warned that if people make allegations about ulterior motives, cast aspersions on her character, post clown emojis or disparage her in any way, then she will hide or turn off comments on that post.
Minister Haywood added: “If you want to be abusive go and do it on your own page. I’m fine with critical comment, but abuse for the sake of abuse is not ok.”
