The Sporting and Dining Club has thanked supporters after its fundraising efforts for local charities topped £200,000.
The Dining Club has been bringing celebrities to the Isle of Man from the worlds of sport, business, entertainment and politics for nearly 20 years.
Owner John Wannenburgh said: “I would like to thank our valued members, sponsors and clients for their fantastic support over the years which has enabled the Dining Club to achieve this very special milestone.”
Recent beneficiaries include Naseem’s Manx Brain Tumour Charity, Manx Wildlife Trust, Isle Listen, Manx Mencap, Motor Neurone Disease (IOM), and Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation.
John added: “We have a very busy schedule in place for 2025 and have already hosted an evening with rugby union stars from the past featuring Finlay Calder, Dean Richards and Paul Wallace, and most recently an event with England international footballer Stuart Pearce.”
Further events include its annual Question of Sport evening in September and a November event with former British Ambassador to the United States, Lord Kim Darroch.
