Sight Matters has confirmed that the Ivan Soulsbury Coast 2 Coast Walk, sponsored by Conister Bank, will return on September 6.
Now in its ninth year, the 12‑mile community walk runs from the NSC in Douglas to Peel, following the old railway line across gentle, scenic terrain. A shorter three‑mile route from St John’s will also be available.
Registration opens at 12.45pm at the NSC, with the main walk starting at 1.30pm. The St John’s route begins at 3.30pm. Entry costs £15 for adults and £5 for under‑16s, with all walkers receiving a digital certificate.
Sight Matters CEO Cathryn Bradley said the event brings people together “in a positive and supportive way”, helping raise awareness of sight loss and supporting the charity’s work. Conister Bank’s Managing Director Douglas Grant said the walk “reflects the island at its best”.
Water stations, first aid points and marshals will be positioned along the route, and dogs are welcome. Registrations close September 3.
