Port Erin Coastguard’s training exercise took an unexpected turn last night as it launched into rescue mode.
The volunteers rescued a loaghtan sheep which had fallen into one of the gasps at The Chasms.
The sheep had been reported as being stuck by a member of the public who fortunately spotted the animals.
Port Erin Coastguard said: “A quick recovery, and the sheep was none the worse for their adventure!”
