The Marown Community Care Lunch Club volunteers have been called inspirational by Government House.
Sir John and Lady Lorimer were invited to join the Marown Community Care Lunch Club to share great food with great company.
The charity lunch club welcomes older members of the community once a month to the Marown Methodist Chapel Hall and is run by a brilliant group of volunteers.
Government House said Sir John and Lady Lorimer enjoyed meeting everyone and were delighted when Marown Primary School’s Year 2 class came along to sing carols.
Which they say “certainly helped everyone feel festive!”
Government House thanked the club for everything they do and said “your volunteers are inspirational”.
