Community Rallies to Help Former Social Worker

An appeal has been launched to raise £2,000 for a mobility scooter for Jason Cain, a former social worker who made a lasting impact on families.

Jason, described as a “bloody good human being” by those who know him, supported families through some of their most challenging moments, including adoptive parents who say they would not have coped emotionally or physically without his help.

His compassion and dedication have continued to resonate long after his professional role ended.

Sadly, Jason is now living with an incurable blood cancer, Multiple Myeloma.

The illness has left him increasingly struggling with mobility and unable to continue the work he was “made for”.

To help him maintain independence and quality of life, Jason has launched a crowdfunding appeal to fund a mobility scooter.

As part of the campaign, a TikTok video has been shared to raise awareness and encourage donations, alongside wider appeals across social media.

While Jason acknowledges that January is a difficult time financially for many, they stress that even small donations can make a meaningful difference.
