Companies Urged to Fix Ownership Details

The Isle of Man Central Registry has issued a fresh reminder to all companies to ensure their Beneficial Ownership information is accurate and up to date by February 27.

It has warned that enforcement action will follow for those that remain non‑compliant.

The Registry says maintaining the integrity of the island’s Beneficial Ownership Database is essential for corporate transparency and meeting international standards.

All companies must have a Nominated Officer responsible for reporting any changes and filing an annual declaration confirming the accuracy of their records.

An outreach campaign targeting companies in default has recently concluded, with the Registry thanking those that have since resolved outstanding issues.

However, further contact will be made next month with firms that have still not complied, and civil penalties or even strike‑off remain possible for persistent failures.

Registrar General Edward Clague said the Registry had seen “an encouraging response” but warned that formal action will now begin against companies that continue to ignore their obligations.

He urged anyone unsure of the requirements to contact the Registry for support.
