Island Fuels has issued an apology ahead of new home heating oil prices taking effect today.
The supplier said the increase is unavoidable and confirmed it will contact customers who have been waiting to place orders.
“Island Fuels can only apologise on the new home heating oil price’s coming tomorrow,” a Facebook post said.
“It’s absolutely pulling on the heartstrings and completely out of our control and we will be contacting all the customer’s that have placed an order while waiting patiently on the new price’s.”
The firm emphasised its commitment to transparency amid the difficult situation. “As you know we have always been open and honest with customer’s,” the statement added.
To help households manage costs, Island Fuels highlighted that it continues to offer a minimum delivery starting from 100 litres. “We will do everything we can to help in these difficult time’s,” the company said.
